The final section of this highly informative course details the convergence of voice & data and covers IP Telephony and Voice over IP.

The course starts with a detailed look at voice communications systems and considers how an audible sound such as a human voice is translated into a digital signal. The course then considers telephone and the associated voice systems.
The course continues with a look at Datacomms and the manner in which local and wide area networks operate. The mobility section covers both voice and data. Finally the course considers convergence and the emergency of Voice over IP assessment.
The course does not include any formal assessment such as an exam. However, there are knowledge reviews to complete as you work through the course. The course certificate is issued when you have completed all of the knowledge reviews and had any errors explained.
